

Born in Cleveland to Max and Sylvia Kohrman, Lee graduated from Cleveland Heights High School (1945), Harvard College (1949), and Harvard Law School (1953).
A devoted husband to the late Margery Smith Kohrman, he is survived by his children Bruce, Katherine, Jonathan, and Matthew, and their partners; his grandchildren Sam, Hannah, Max, Eliana, Lila, Yossi, Asa, Ezra, Clara, and Amos; and his great-grandchildren Aviva, Sofia, and Lev. He is also survived by his loving partner, Belleruth Naparstek; his brother-in-law, Michael Smith; and many adored Kohrman, Madorsky, and Smith nieces and nephews.
Lee focused his energy on family, his law practice, and on Jewish philanthropic endeavors around the world. A fierce social justice advocate and a revered mentor, his spirit will live on in the lives of his friends, colleagues, and the countless recipients of the programs he built and supported.
His funeral service will be held at Park Synagogue, 27500 Shaker Blvd, at 12 noon on Friday, August 22, 2025. Lee’s family will receive visitors on Friday August 22 following the burial (likely after 2:30 PM) until 5 PM in the first-floor community room at Point East Condominium, 27500 Cedar Rd. Additional Shiva will be observed on Saturday August 23 from 7–9 PM and Sunday August 24 from 11 AM–2 PM in the same location.
