Shirley Cohen

November 25, 1935 - February 14, 2025

Shirley Cohen Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Cohen. Beloved Mother of Dale (Cindy) Cohen, Steven (Susan) Cohen and Lisa( Bryan) Keffer. Loving Grandmother of Jaymie (Matthew) Epstein., Samuel (Hannah) Cohen, Noah Cohen, Joshua Cohen (Maddy-girlfriend), Robin Cohen, Ryan Cohen, Rachel Cohen, Haley (Devin) Kianos, Jayme Keffer (Tyler - boyfriend). Cherished Great Grandmother of Asher, Della and Elsie Epstein. Loving sister to the late Betty (Baruch) Zaremsky and sister-in-law to Sharon Ishee (Roger) and the late Leonard Cohen (Gloria Cohen).

Shirley was born November 25, 1935 to Harry and Dora (Krauss) Brody in Cleveland. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and went on to attend Ohio University and finished her degree at Ursuline College when she then became a substitute teacher. She enjoyed helping the kids learn and even tutored neighborhood children to help them excel in their education.

Shirley adored all of her grandchildren and was especially excited to spend time with her three great grandchildren. A favorite pastime was working on puzzles with her cherished caregiver, Michelle, who treated Shirley like family. Besides the many shopping trips she enjoyed, Shirley insisted that on warm sunny days, a drive up to Lake Erie was a necessity in order to relax while gazing at the lake and watching boats float by.

Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 1:00 P.M.

at Mt. Olive Cemetery 27855 Aurora Road, Solon, OH 44139.
