Oddest happening, just yesterday I was telling  one of my grandsons about  my basketball  games  at the old JCC in Cleveland.   Telling  him the value of teamwork, how 5 players playing as a team  often can beat a group of better players.  It was 1973  your  Dad  who appeared to be the oldest player in  the gym ( no one ever called him Sid, it was always Mr.) always picked me the 2nd oldest player in the gym to  always take on the  top guys in the place.  He always   wanted to take the  lesser players to fill out our 5.  I honestly cannot recall us ever loosing .  He never bragged or boasted but  I knew  he loved how these "great" players could never figure out how they  lost to us every time.  My wife just had me help her   see a virtual service at Berkowitz-Kummin  and I saw your Dad's picture.  He really didn't look to much different than I remembered  him  in 73.  He had supper skinny legs and  always  wrinkly socks that seemed  always  falling to his ankles.  I never had any contact with him outside of the JCC but he obviously made an impression on me   he was  quiet and always a gentleman but a fierce competitor in disguise.  We could read each others eyes probably the greatest pick and roll  pair the JCC ever saw.  I'm sure  he will be missed by all who knew him.  I'am a retired veterinarian -  left Cleveland in 1976 for my hometown  of Cincinnati to start my own practice.  Have used your Dad often over the many years to illustrate the value of working together  relevant in many  things beyond basketball.
