Steven Grossman Grieshammer

Steven Grossman Grieshammer, age 17 of Mayfield Heights, passed away on Wednesday, February 28th. Stevie was a junior at Mayfield High School where he was a 3 year letterman in swimming and a member of the National Honor Society. He was the Western Reserve Conference and D1 Sectional Champ in the 500 freestyle. He was looking forward to his senior year where he was to be one of the captains of the team. He fully expected to be on the podium at the state meet in the 500. Stevie was a sweet, kind respectful boy. He was a leader on his team. A great teammate who encouraged all to work hard and be the best swimmer they could be. Fist bumps and high fives were given to all after a hard set. He was a leader by encouragement and example. He loved swimming, the Cavs, his friends and especially his family. He was a great son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. His infectious smile and pinch able cheeks will truly be missed. Steven is survived by his parents, Charles and Susan Grieshammer, brother Tom, grandfather Stanly Grossman, aunts and uncles, Linda Grossman, Mary Lynn and Wayne Morek, Dave and Jan Grieshammer, Sue Harrington, Brian an Pam Struhammer, Jane Terry, Pat and Missy Grieshammer, cousins too many to mention, not too many to love. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sandra Grossman, Paternal grandparents Lawrence and Mary Grieshammer and Uncle Jack Grossman. Services will be held Sunday, March 4 at 9 AM at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S.Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 6456 Woodhawk Dr. Mayfield Heights, OH. 44124 SUNDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES AND INTERMENT UNTIL 7 PM, MONDAY AND TUESDAY 2 PM-4 PM & 6 PM-8 PM.
