Thomas Frederick Cohen

Thomas Frederick Cohen passed away December 9, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Lori Hull Cohen, their two beloved daughters, Colby and Carly, and his brother William R. (Susan Hoyt) Cohen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Louis Cohen and Suzanne (Weingarten) Cohen of Shaker Heights, OH. Tom spent his entire professional career in finance, an interest sparked by his second grade teacher. He worked for Crocker Bank, Bank of New England, and KeyBank before opening Sussex Investments Ltd. in 1996, a business he operated for nearly 20 years until his death. Tom was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Michigan and was captain and a four-year starter on the U of M soccer team. He received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Services will be held Tuesday, December 15 at 12 Noon at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL,1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Mayfield Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Cleveland Skating Club, 2500 Kemper Rd., Shaker Heights, OH FOLLOWING SERVICES AND INTERMENT UNTIL 6 PM.
