William P. Robbins, 88, a resident of Mayfield Heights for 54 years, A kind and gentle soul, Bill was a music enthusiast and community volunteer who for many years enjoyed sharing his love of old movies with residents at Montefiore Skilled Nursing and Menorah Park Center for Seniors in Beachwood. Among his community volunteer commitments, he regularly served as a volunteer driver for elderly friends at Sherri Park Apartments in Lyndhurst, OH. A graduate of Shaw High School, he was employed by Rosenblum's Department Stores all of his adult working life until his retirement. Bill was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Sylvia (nee Gottdiener), his devoted brothers the late Howard and Allen Robbins, nephews Steven and Reid Robbins. He is survived by sister-in-law Ruth Robbins along with several nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 9 at 11 AM at the Zion Memorial Park, 5461 Northfield Rd., Bedford Heights, OH. Family requests no visitation. Friends who wish may contribute to the Montefiore Home or the Menorah Park Foundation.
