He was born in Cleveland, the beloved son of Miguel and Iris (nee Negron) Vega. Alex is the loving father of Brandon Vega and dear brother of Michael Vega and Mark Vega.
He was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1984 and began his career with the City of Cleveland Water Department. He retired in 2012 following 28 years of service. He had a love for baseball and softball, playing on various leagues throughout the area. He will be remembered for his sense of selflessness, his humor and quick wit. Loved by many, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Services at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery will be scheduled when restrictions are lifted.
