Alfred L. Harper, Jr. of Euclid, Ohio, transitioned to eternal life on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 49 years old. Alfred was born May 27, 1974, to Alfred L. Harper, Sr., and Evelyn Kilpatrick Harper in Cleveland, Ohio. While he was not affiliated with a traditional church to express his belief, he did give his life to Christ at an early age – and regardless of decisions made, he would acknowledge God’s love.
While he was growing up, he was known as “Junior”, “Junie”, and “Al” during his later years. Growing up, he attended Caledonia Elementary School, Kirk Middle School, and Shaw High School before transferring to Euclid High School. In his neighborhood, he would be known as a kid with a hustle at a young age, where he would cut grass, rake leaves, shovel snow, and wash cars to earn cash, and would then always be willing to spend what he earned on his friends. This was just a tiny example of the heart that he had.
Alfred, Jr. is survived by his life partner Princess “Michelle” Johnson; his sister, Leslie D. Rivers (Eric, Sr.); his five children, Chyblis N. Harris, Alfred L. Harper, III, Cheyenne C. Mays, Camaron J. Mays, Alexandria A. Harper; his three grandchildren, Reagan C. Harris, Jacob A. Harris, and Israel Z. Jacobs; two nephews, Eric J. Rivers, Jr., and Isaiah S. Rivers (Brianna); and a host of cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death are his father, Alfred L. Harper, Sr., and his mother, Evelyn Kilpatrick Harper
