Annabelle Hill

She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Hill was educated in the Cleveland Public School system and graduated from John Hay High School. After graduating, Annabelle worked as an administrative assistant in the Navy Finance Building.

On June 19, 1954, Annabelle was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Sterling Hill Jr. From this union were born two beautiful children, Eva and Sterling III, affectionately known as Cookie and Butch.

Annabelle was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was known for her gift of hospitality and served all those who came to her home with love and kindness. Entertaining on holidays was one of her passions. She loved to prepare a large spread complete with her peach cobbler and sweet potato pies that were a favorite to many.

On June 12, 2022, Annabelle entered into heavenly rest and was reunited with her husband, parents, beloved brothers Henry, Francis, Kenneth and Kenly, and cherished niece Charlotte Boyd.

Annabelle leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Eva McGhee; her son, Sterling Hill III; granddaughter, Lauren McGhee; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family; and many treasured friends.

A visitation for Annabelle will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A wake will occur Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:30 AM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112.
