Daniel was the devoted and loving husband of Gwen Sanchez (née Rogers), whose life was deeply enriched by his companionship, warmth, and steady presence. He was one of 24 siblings, a bond that shaped his lifelong appreciation for family, connection, and loyalty. To his many nieces, nephews, and friends, Daniel was not just family—he was a source of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, carrying that sense of duty and strength throughout his life. Daniel later dedicated 19 years to serving his community as a clerk with Cuyahoga County, following his earlier work as a dock worker with Yellow Freight.
A man of quiet strength and resilience, Daniel was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, where he found purpose, fellowship, and the opportunity to support others on their journeys. His compassion and encouragement touched more lives than can be counted.
Daniel found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. He had a special love for dogs, especially his loyal companion, Dash, who brought him comfort and companionship. He treasured time spent around the card table, sharing laughter and stories with his two close-knit groups of friends. Above all, he cherished the everyday moments with Gwen—going out to dinner, watching movies, and visiting with family—creating memories that will be held close forever.
Daniel will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his deep love for those around him, and the quiet, lasting impact he made on so many lives. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
All services for Daniel will be private.
