David D Eckstein, age 80, of Cleveland Ohio passed away on Sunday June 23, 2024
Beloved husband of Ellen; loving father to Melissa (Marcus); beloved brother to the late John (Cindy), Betty (Ray), and George (Barb). Cherished uncle to fourteen nieces & nephews.
David was born in Cleveland to the late Franklin & Evelyn Eckstein. He passed away peacefully at St Augustine Manor where he had briefly lived while struggling with health issues. David served as a Cleveland police officer from 1967 to 2010 and truly loved his job. He loved engaging with people and was especially known for his passion for helping stray dogs in the fourth district. He was a kind & funny man that was well liked by all. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
