Dorothy Mae Lee

Dorothy Mae Lee was born in Luxora, Arkansas March 22, 1934 to Bessie Mae Deaner and Taylor Gold Nelums. She completed school at Rosenwald High school in Arkansas, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio to live in 1950. She married Willie Lee, Jr. in 1952 and had four children from that marriage. Ronald, Debra Lee Stokes, Tammie, Jovonnie and Wanda Jackson. She dedicated her life to raising her children. She was a longtime member of Mt. Gillion Baptist Church, however, had been unable to attend in her latter years. She worked at Stouffer's Inn at the square from 1979 to 1993 where she had many friends over her 18 years there. She leaves behind one sister, Marilyn Nelums Jones, eight grandchildren, Ronald (deceased) David, Henri, Christopher, LaTasha, Shana, Justin, LaRon, great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Showed love and caring to someone along the way. My life, I gave to my children who are my pride and joy. I thank God for being so good to me. To all of you on this day smile when you think of me"
