With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ebby A. Howarth, 70, of Cleveland, formerly of Beaver, PA, who left this world peacefully on December 7, 2025. Born in Beaver Falls, PA, Ebby was the son of the late Edward C. and Ruth A. Howarth—roots he carried proudly throughout his life.
Ebby was the devoted father of Ebby A. (Lindsay) Howarth and Anastasia Howarth, and the incredibly proud grandfather of his namesake, Ebby D. Howarth, who brought endless joy to his days. He was the cherished brother of Jeff (Becky) Howarth, Mike (Tammie) Howarth, Vicky (Jamie) Bango, and Bruce (Molly) Howarth, and a beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to more people than can be counted.
Ebby lived life with a gentle spirit and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He felt most at home outdoors—whether hunting mushrooms, deer hunting, casting a line in the water, or spending quiet moments with his black powder guns. His love for nature fueled his passion for conservation, something he advocated for every chance he got.
His faith was a cornerstone of his life. Ebby was deeply involved with his church, serving on the Healing Team, where his compassion and steady presence brought comfort and hope to many. He also had a gift for seeing beauty in everyday moments through photography, capturing memories and landscapes with the same warmth he brought to his relationships.
Above all, Ebby will be remembered for his kindness, his patience, and the way he made people feel seen and valued. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and the countless lives he touched.
A service celebrating Ebby’s life is pending and will be scheduled in January.
