George was the heart and soul of his family. He shared a deep and loving bond with his beloved wife, Maria Caraballo, and was a devoted father to his children, Deborah Bowers, the late George V. Claudio, Cathy Lubinsky (Daren), the late Mark Claudio, and Holly Niro. His love only grew as his family expanded—he was a proud and adoring grandfather to Sarah Colegrove, Mark D. Claudio (Shelby), Christina Alexander (Steve), Samantha Bowers, Matthew Lubinsky (Samantha), Beth Curiale, and Dominic Niro, and a joyful great-grandfather to 13. Each of them was a source of immense pride and happiness in his life.
He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings Orlando, Jose, Mercedes and the late Margie and Anna, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
George lived a life defined by warmth, kindness, and connection. He had a rare gift—he never met a stranger. With his welcoming smile and open heart, he made everyone feel seen, valued, and at home. To know George was to feel like family.
He found his greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments—gathering loved ones together, filling his home with music, laughter, food and love. Whether he was playing music as a DJ for friends, working with his hands on woodworking projects, or talking about cars, he poured his passion into everything he did. A loyal Cleveland Guardians fan, he celebrated life with enthusiasm and spirit.
Above all else, George believed in people. He accepted everyone as they were and gave his love freely and generously. His presence was a comfort, his laughter a gift, and his legacy one of compassion, joy, and togetherness.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate George’s life on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.
