Marcy was many things to many people, but most of all she was a genuine, loving, beautiful warrior. She had a heart of gold.
Marcy’s deep love for her family shined so bright. She was married to Franklin Hernandez, high school sweetheart and the love of her life, for 39 years. They raised their only son, Franklincito, with pride and affection. To see the love on her face when her husband or son walked in the room just made your heart melt. To hear the joy in her voice when her family and friends would visit or call her couldn’t help but make you smile. She adored her mother and siblings unconditionally and let’s not forget her island. Puerto Rico always had a special place in her heart. She also always made the effort to have special bonds with all of her nieces and nephews. Her amazing ability to see the best in everyone made those around her want to be better people. She was always full of compliments and encouraging words. She also had a special way with animals and nature that was one of kind.
Marcy wasn’t just genuine and loving, but she was a true warrior. Intelligent and cautious about her decisions and care. She fought through many health battles through the years, but regardless of her situation, she remained hopeful and grateful. Her strength to get through each day was inspiring, and even on the hardest days she relied on her faith and found it in her to push through. She was a woman of prayer and dedicated to her faith.
Marcy was an angel on earth and truly one of kind. Her warm hugs made an impact on all of us. She is already missed so terribly, but the beautiful memory she left behind is imprinted on our hearts forever. We thank God for her 59 years of life and sharing her with us. We know she is smiling down on us, so just keep smiling Marcy, for you are eternally loved and your legacy will live on.
