

Johnnie Mae, known as “Molly” to her close friends and family was educated in the Marion Public School System where she graduated from Lincoln High School.
Johnnie Mae moved to Cleveland, Ohio in the early 1950’s where she worked and held several positions including cooking and serving at restaurants. Johnnie Mae was very serious about education and loved teaching. She served as an elementary school teacher’s aide for over 20 years in the Cleveland Public School District.
Johnnie Mae accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a very young age and served as a Nurse’s Aide at Zion Baptist Church for many years. She loved helping others and was a servant to all: friends, family, church and the community at large.
Johnnie Mae transitioned to Glory on November 30, 2019. Beloved partner to J.B. Beckham (Crow) (deceased) and preceded in death by her parents Simon Sr., and Ethel Billingsley, sisters: Lola Mae (Walter) Underwood, Eva Lou (Arlee) Russell, Carnellas “Mary” (Emerson) Applby, Hattie Mae “Kate” (William) Riddle, Louise (Cleveland) Kinney, Margaret Belle (Henry) Fincher; brothers: Corothers Sr., (Margaret) James Lee (Mary), Richard Lee (Alice); daughter Audrey Renee Billingsley.
Leaving to mourn her loss are daughters Jacqueline Michelle (Larry) Jordan, Octavia Marie Billingsley, son Bernard (Dina) Billingsley; brother Simon, Jr. (Eula), grandchildren; Lisa, Romero, Jamal, David, Shauna, Lauria, Bernard Jr; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is truly loved and will be missed by all.
