Lakeeta "Keeta" Barringer

She was the eldest out of her five other siblings. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio Keeta spent her early years traveling with family. She attended Cleveland Public schools and was an honors student. She graduated from Health Careers High School, majoring in Ophthalmology. After high school she pursued her educational goal by attending Cuyahoga Community College where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in medical Billing and Coding. Keeta began working for the Board of Education following in her mother Arlene’s footsteps.

Keeta was blessed with four beautiful children of her own. Keeta preceded in death by her parents Arlene and Lonnie, her step father, whom loved her as if she was his own, Johnnie ,her little sister Shannon, her aunts Patricia and Barbara, her grandfather Olidean, two uncles and a host of cousins.

The Lord called Keeta home on August 13, 2024. She leaves behind four siblings Marlon, Jontay, Brandon Bell and Alicia Barringer, four children Arlen and Lakeeta Barringer, Kristalen Babb and Shawn Orr, six grandchildren Ke 'Andra Barringer, Ke 'Andrae Barringer, Arlen (Jr), Alicide , Amara and Akeeta Barringer 7 nephews Marlon Jr, Devion,Johan,Jordan Idris,Israel, Isa Bell, 5 nieces Arlene, Messiah, Jazmine, Janice, Sol and a host of family and friends that will forever truly miss her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 12PM-2PM at the Church of God in Christ, 7541 Kinsman Rd., Cleveland 44104
