Lois Adams

Gussie Collins. She passed away peacefully at the age of 84, at Highland

Points Rehabilitation Center.

Lois was educated in the Public School System in Cleveland, Ohio. Lois

Collins married Major Adams Sr., (deceased in February 2005). Although

later divorce they were blessed with four wonderful children were born to

the union, Darlene Adams (Augusta, GA) and Major Adams (Cleveland,

OH), and two daughters preceded her in death Maria Teresa Adams and

Saundra Maria Adams. Lois joined the Catholic Church at an early age she

was a faithful servant and dedicate to working in the food pantry to service

the need of others. After becoming sick, she become unable to attend

church services in person, but was commented to watching service on social

media at every opportunity, reading her Bible and reciting the Rosary.

Lois took the role of being a mother and homemaker. Her interests

included working with young people at Saint Agatha School, sewing,

cooking, and devoted time during her children younger years teaching those

gardening lessons. After raising her children Lois dedicated her life as an

STA Caregiver to others at Manor Care Nursing Home. She inspired,

motivated, and instilled in young children talent, and life experiences at

Raintree Academy, Indian Hills Child Development Center, Windemere

Child Care and other local child care centers including other local childcare

center. She developed a keen interest in the Art of Institute where her

worked was later displayed at the East Cleveland Public Library.

Lois loved spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile

on her face. Her fondest memory was her ability to witness her children’s

achievements, Darlene Adams service in the Army 38 years and retired as

a CW5 and Major Adams Jr. earned a Master of Business Administration

and her grandchildren’s Sandria, Xzavier and Alian brought unspeakable

joy to her life.

Lois will always be remembered and greatly missed. Her memory will be

cherished, and she will live in our hearts forever.
