Loreta Peticca, age 88, Dearly beloved wife for 65 years of Americo Peticca. Loving mother of Sue (Steve Schemrich) Lavelle. Benito (Angie) Peticca. Cherished grandmother of Anthony Peticca, Chelsea (Todd) Sinclair and Jimmy (Samantha) Lavelle. Dearest sister of Antoinette, Giovannina, Armenio and George (all deceased). Great-Grandmother to Carter Marie Sinclair. Dear aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Loreta's greatest joy in life was her family. She expressed her love and most beautifully in her kitchen, where she brought everyone together around the table. Her pasta and meatballs were more than just a meal - they were a tradition, a comfort, and a symbol of the care she poured into those she loved. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, warmth and the unmistakable aroma of her cooking, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and proud great-grandmother, treasuring every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her family was her heart, and she made sure each of them knew how deeply they were loved.
Outside of the kitchen, Loreta found peace and happiness tending to her flowers. She took great pride in planting and caring for her garden, finding joy in watching each season bloom. Much like her garden, she nurtured the people around her with patience, attention, and love.
Loreta was also dedicated to her church community, generously volunteering her time and energy in faithful service. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and willingness to help others reflected the strength of her faith and the compassion she carried throughout her life.
She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and the way she made everyone feel welcome. Though she will be deeply missed, the traditions she created, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the beauty she cultivated in both her garden and her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
