Luz Selenia Senquiz, age 89, of Las Vegas, Nevada formerly of Cleveland, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Luz was born March 17, 1935 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. Daughter of Florencio Perez and Antonia Surita Perez, both deceased. Luz and her immediate family moved to New York City in 1952 and settled in the Bronx. In 1970 Luz, Felix and their children moved to Cleveland, Ohio.
Luz was the devoted wife of the late Felix Senquiz, loving mother of Milagros (Patrick) Dunaway of Las Vegas, Nevada , Jorge (Janet) Pagan Sr. of Cleveland, Ohio, Luz "Lucy" (Luis) Claudio of Cape Coral, Florida, and the late Santos Pagan, dearest grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of many 23, dearest sister of Carmen, Santa, Rosa, Ramon, Luis, Blanca and Lavinia, dearest aunt and friend of many. Luz was a seamstress for many years sewing ladies garments and plush toys used in carnivals and amusement parks. She also enjoyed making her own clothes. She was a woman of strong Christian faith who enjoyed reading and studying her Bible and books. This made her a loving Sunday School teacher at Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal in Cleveland. Luz was a true follower of the gospel of Jesus Christ a born again Christian. She treasured spending time with her family in New York, Florida and Puerto Rico.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4-8 PM at Craciun Berry Funeral Home 7200 Detroit Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44102, where services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 10 AM
