    I especially remember his always-twinkling eyes.

Rose, MaryJo, Tom and the rest of the Neelon Family. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother Mike. I didn't know him, but from what I am reading he was a very talented and like person.  You have my deepest sympathy in this time of sadness for your family. I am sorry I missed the services.

I was one of Mr.Mikes students in tech crew he trained when he did the musicals at Holy Name. This is an incredible loss for so many. He touched many lives. I'm so sincerely sorry for your loss. He will be missed dearly.

I was a photographer for the comedy theater company that Mike did lighting for. I also worked with him a bit at Cain Park Theater at the lighting board. He was always a dignified gentleman. Sweet, amiable, quiet, and likable. Sending my sincere sympathies to his family.

I was the director of the theater company that Mike served as Lighting Director for a number of years. Mike had a great sense of timing and knew when to bring the lights down to end an improvised bit. I really knew how important he was when one night at KSU Mike was not with us and I had to do the lights, lets just say it was one of the most difficult nights of our run. 
Mike was quick with his smile and liked to laugh. He also liked a good story. He will be missed.

I was the guitar player for the theater company Mike served as Lighting Director, all those years ago.
Every skit was begun, punctuated and ended by the stage lights. So, every performance there I’d be, doing sound effects, playing goofy songs or making them up, relying on Mike to know when to bring things to a (reasonably) dignified end.
It wasn’t easy. He had to know theater, understand timing, know the equipment which was different everywhere we performed, and above all have such a good understanding of us as people and as performers that he knew when to pull the plug on a bit, and when to entice us to go on.
He never let me down. He was skilled, smart and way funnier than his subdued demeanor let on. One of these days, I'll get to thank him again for saving us so many times.

Mike was such a talented interesting guy with a great sense of humor, and great taste in music. I had the priviledge to work alongside he and his brother Tom for many years. We put many a hard day behind us due to his inventiveness and creativity. He will be remembered honorably.
