Mrs. Emma Jones

Obituary

Emma Del Jones was born April 25, 1930 in Tutwiler, Mississippi to John Eddie West and Edna Beeler West. She relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1950. She was employed at Joseph and Feiss for 30 years until her retirement in 1992.

On November 29, 1948, Emma West was united in holy matrimony to Willie B. Jones for sixty-eight years. To this union one child was born Patricia Ann Jones.

Emma was one of eleven siblings, she was the rock and support of her family who loved and respected her very much. She was affectionately known as “Antee.” Her proudest moment was grandma to Christopher Bennett.

Emma D. Jones was a member of Divine Revelation Church of Christ, under the leadership of the late Bishop G.P. Morrow and current Pastor Delores Pittman. Emma served on the Mother Board, she was an original member of the spiritual group The True Loving Five. She was also a member of the 7G’s Social Club. True friends for over 60 years, Norean Evans and Emma Jones had a very special sister bond.

To forever cherish her loving memories her husband Willie B. Jones, daughter Patricia Ann Jones Bennett, grandson Christopher Clark Bennett, three brothers: Walter West of Robinsonville, Mississippi, John West Jr. and Johnny West both of Cleveland, Ohio, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
