

Marlene lived in Cleveland, Ohio in the Glenville neighborhood. She graduated from Glenville High school in 1977. Upon graduating, she began her career with the Federal Government. She worked at NASA, the United States Post Office, and retired from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) after 30+ years of service.
In 1987 Marlene married James S. Perkins, and to this union two children were born. Darlene Nicole was born on August 30, 1987 and Megan Michelle was born on April 21, 1989.
Marlene was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Pilgrim Church of Christ and served as a member of the Usher Board. Marlene enjoyed reading, crocheting, bowling and going to the casino. Marlene loved to laugh and was the most loving and outspoken person you could ever meet.
Marlene was called to her heavenly home on November 18, 2018. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Darlene and Megan (Shawn), 4 sisters, Diane Davis, Sandra Penneyman, Sharon Wagner (Darius) and Darlene Davis and 1 brother, Derrick Washington (Sherry), several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, 2 best friends, very special friend, Quintin Jackson, and many other relatives and friends.
