It’s 31 October 2024. Halloween evening. My wife and I were just reminiscing about past Halloween activities. We used to live in Bucks County, PA, and Paul wanted/volunteered to come out to our place to Trick or Treat with me and my 10 year-old-son, circa 1987.   We had ToT’ed for quite awhile when we heard a young boy crying. Not missing an opportunity to help someone, Paul and I went to investigate. The young boy told us some older boys had taken his candy from him. We asked if he could ID the culprits, and he said yes. With the help of the lad, we tracked down the villains and, with a mild amount of rough persuasion, got the candy back. 

Paul and I worked together in NYC.  The action that night was just a continuation of what we both did at our day jobs.  

Paul, may you Rest In Peace.

I miss you a lot.  Wish you were here to discuss all the current events with - recovery of the 3 kidnapped women, NSA, Obamacare, and so on.

I was talking to my wife tonight about Paul and decided to check to see if he was on Facebook.  I had no idea he had passed.  I met Paul back in the early 80's when he and I did a play at The Beck Center in Lakewood.  He was a great guy.  Had many conversations with him over the years, but I lost contact with him. He was always a joy to be around.  I will mourn for you Paul...Godspeed and good night sweet prince.

He had impeccable charm, intellect, manners and grooming.  He opened the door for a lady, but had no qualms correcting her grammar.  He blew me away with his cheery disposition.  I once asked him how he could remain so “up” with what he was going through.  He didn't seem to understand what not being “up”, meant.  He was my friend with the most initials after his name:  MBA, CPA, FBI, CFP.  Paul and I met at Ernst & Whinney around 1977; he made a point to have lunch before he left for Quantico and called before he left for Jacksonville.  We re-connected via AOL around 1995 and kept in touch via phone or in person ever since.  We last spoke mid-October.  Only a phone call away, I deeply miss my Renaissance man.

Been thinking since he passed about what I could say, what it would help the family to know, what might be positive ... 

Paul was one of those people who are just special -- in a good way.  Making sure his needs were met was a privilege, and those of us who shared that duty all felt that way.  The occasional grin that would peak through showed me some of who he used to be, and that person was still in there.  Smart, multi-faceted, often gracious -- a really good guy in a bad situation.  

Some people are just special.  Paul was one of those.  I miss him and think of him often.  Would have liked to have known him longer in better times, but we met when I could be useful to him and that is its own blessing. 

Rest well, good sir.  Much as we miss you here, we give thanks for an end to suffering.

I know it's crazy, but I think Paul is trying to look out for me from the great beyond.  A representative from Paychex called me the other day.  Paul had recommended them to me in the past.  I had not used them but then out of the blue they went through some old files, called me about some new promotions, and mentioned Paul's name.  I know it's crazy, but it seems like a message from Paul about how managing things in the coming year.

And Thanksgiving wasn't the same, without the annual telephone call from Paul.

My twin brother, spoke in glowing terms, many times of his friend, Paul. I had a chance to spend a few hours with Paul, when my Brother invited me to join them for lunch. The way in which he embraced my brother with such warmth, to his all encompassing embrace of me when we said good-bye, let me know that this was a man not afraid to show his feelings of love and affection. It felt wonderful, to know my Brother had a friend who loved him so! Ditto, my Brother! Paul was a true WARRIOR, from the beginning of his disease to the very end. It is evident that Paul was much loved, by those who knew him. You'll never be forgotten Paul, for you live in the hearts of those who loved you and still do!

Kind, dependable, consistent, disciplined, generous, loyal, brilliant, and ethical.  For over 20 years Paul was always this way with me... and with everyone else he knew.  I miss him, and so does everyone who ever knew him well.  He loved his career as a CFP - never sparing any time or effort to help his clients.  And he loved being at the pistol range.

I'm very sorry to hear of Paul's passing.  I was a member of his New Agent's class (FBI 81-2) that started on 1/5/81.  Paul and I were good friends throughout training.  Again, I am saddened by his passing and extend my sympathy to his family and friends.

I met Paul in 2000 while in Westlake,Ohio on business. Paul took care of my taxes that year and I kept him as my tax consultant from then on in. Even though I live in Pennsylvania, Paul and I conversed  many times during the course of a year . Paul became a friend as well as a tax consultant. I last saw Paul in February of 2007 when I visited Independence, Ohio for a job interview. We met for lunch before my flight back.
I'll miss my conversations with Paul. He was a true professional and a true friend.

So sorry to receive this news about Paul's untimely passing.  He was truly a compassionate, caring and especially "honorable" person who always put his family's needs before his own. Paul was a selfless person whose life was an inspiration to us all.

I am so sorry to hear of Pauls' passing. It is never to easy to have a loved one pass away. Paul was a good man and a great asset to the FBI. May the family find peace and solace in remembering all the joy that Paul brought to others.

When we were about 10 we lived across the street on Marlowe in Lakewood. He was playing with darts and threw one clear across the street and it stuck in my thigh. I see from other guest book comments, I see this good aim stayed wtih with. We remained friends through '66 graduation. Saw him at a reunion once as he was moving back home to start a business and take care of folks I believe. I'm so sorry to hear. RIP Paul. Make good use of those arrows in heaven.

Paul was a good friend in High School as well as later in life.  We spent many hours talking about what was happening in our lives, and how they had turned out since LHS '66.  He was truly a good friend and I will miss him dearly.

Paul was always ready to assist anyone in need. Paul was appreciated for his kindness and concern for all others. His Christian values and beliefs will accompany him on his current voyage.

I knew Paul from our days as members of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers ,where Paul was the chapter president. My deepest sympathy for Paul and his family. I have known Paul Since we first met in 1964 in Lakewood High School. We have stayed in touch over all these years. Growing up I felt like his home was my second home. I will miss him dearly as I have missed dear Mary and Connie. May he find eternal peace.

Paul was a good friend and fellow agent.  He was always very helpful, and friendly.  Paul was quite a good shot on the range.  He won the hand gun  shooting competition at the retired firearms shoot at Camp Perry just about every time that I was there.  Bless his loved ones, Paul will be surely missed.  God bless him. Paul and I were classmates at Lakewood High School (class of '66)  I remember working on his campaign when he was running for class president.  He was a wonderful friend and I will certainly miss him.  My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathies to Paul's family.  We were good neighbors for 11 years.  He was always so very kind to me especially at holiday time with wonderful gifts.  I surely will miss him.

Paul's true grit and character is measured by the courage and perseverance with which he battled his hideous disease.  May he now reap his heavenly reward and rest in peace.  We will miss him as our investment guy, tax guy and former FBI Agent friend.  We offer our condolences to all his surviving loved ones.

Paul was the president of my class in high school,( Lakewood class of 1966) and I knew both him and his father. He was a good son of Lakewood and I remember seeing him at various events throughout life, including high school reunions.and we even played golf a couple of times backs in the 1980s.  So sorry to hear that he is gone. I knew him to always be  upbeat, optimistic, and cheerful. His working career included service with the FBI, a bank in New York and then in the financial services industry here in Cleveland.
