Rob was the loving husband of Sharon Stibrick (née Scamaldo), a proud and devoted father to Erica (William) Guzman, and a cherished grandfather to Angelina Guzman, who brought him tremendous joy. He was a dear brother to Richard J. Stibrick (Kathryn) and Riche’ Scarbrough (James), and a fun-loving, adored uncle to Allison Love (Austin), Michael Stibrick, Meghan Grote (Michael), Kate Scarbrough, and David Scarbrough. He was also a beloved nephew of John Kostar (Sally) and Susan Vallo, cousin to Sarah Davis (Brian), Connor Davis and a loyal friend to all.
Rob worked as a drywaller in home construction, a trade he took pride in. Outside of work, music was one of his greatest passions. Known throughout the Kamm’s Corner area, he spent more than 30 years playing guitar and singing in bands, sharing his love of music with friends and audiences everywhere. Out of “Smedley’s” he built what we now have come to love as the West Park music community, including the longest running Jam night in Northeast Ohio. “1 … 2 …“
He also had a deep love for motorcycles and the friendships that came with riding. Rob enjoyed many rides and gatherings with friends, clubs, and organizations throughout the area. Some of his happiest moments were spent with Sharon at Whiskey Island and Solstice Steps, relaxing on the beach and watching the sunsets together.
Rob had a larger-than-life personality, a quick wit, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. No matter where he went, he always seemed to run into someone he knew. He loved deeply, laughed often, and never hesitated to lend a hand to someone who needed it. Above all, he treasured his family, the time he spent with them, and every life that crossed his path.
