Virginia E Forte

Virginia Elizabeth Traylor-Forte was born October 24, 1949 in Cleveland,Ohio to the Late Joseph H. and Alvertes L. Traylor III. She was the youngest of five children. On Tuesday June 13, 2023 at 5:15pm the Lord decided it was time for Virginia to come home and be at peace.

She accepted Christ at an early age, she attended John Hay High School. She was known to everyone

as Kookie. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister and Nana. She was a very, patient, kind, loving,

passionate, caring and understanding person. She always put others first.

She was employed with and dedicated her time caring for the elderly as a Nursing Assistant at Eliza

Bryant nursing home from June 1987 until she retired in May 2002. She continued her journey caring

for family members for many years after retiring.

Virginia met Jackie R. Forte in March 1995. They joined in matrimony April 1, 1997. The couple were

together until Mr. Forte passed.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, going shopping with her sister, listening to music, her

favorite artist was Luther Vandross, dancing, going out to eat, talking on the phone to her sister

and grandchildren, watching her favorite TV Shows (Sistahs, Chicago PD, Law and Order) while

enjoying a cup of her favorite Maxwell House Coffee. Most of all Virginia cherished spending time

with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom called her NANA.

She was preceded in death by her oldest brother Ira Earnest Traylor.

Virginia leaves to mourn 3 children: Jack Sanders, Tisa Thompson and D’Andra Sanders; 12

grandchildren: Bianca Wilson, Kevin Beeler (Dennyela), Brenton Sanders, Jack Myers (Tashiyonna), Jeremiah Sanders(Davona), Chari’yan Sanders, Ranon Thompson, Cha’Quella LeMay, Ramya Thompson, Ramiro Thompson, Mekhi Pittman, El’Cindor Pittman; 12 Great-Grandchildren: Javiera, Uri,

Jayden, Valor, Javionna, Roy’Ale, Jace, Jack Jr, Solana, Razan, Malani, Jazelle; 2 Brothers:

Theodore J. Traylor (Lashonn) and Elder Donald J. Traylor (Ruby); sister Marnett Gullett; and a host of

nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A wake will occur Friday, June 30, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 30, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44112.
