

Beatrice Parnoff Moore, 88, of Killingworth passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 16, 2016, after a prolonged illness. Bea was born in Hartford on September 19, 1928 to Gennaro and Margaret Schwartz Parnoff. A lifelong Lutheran, she cherished her years with the Walther League, a nation-wide youth organization, and most recently served Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Middletown as an active member of the congregation and choir. An accomplished soprano, Bea was a charter member of and frequent soloist with Capella Cantorum and performed with various community choruses including the Clinton Choral Club. She spent many happy hours nurturing her beautiful gardens, sewing, cooking, being outdoors and travelling; but mostly she loved spending time with her family.
Beatrice is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Arnold Nettleton Moore and her loving children, Margaret Moore of Killingworth, Claudia Wilkinson and her husband James of Norfolk, MA, Arnold Moore, Jr. and his wife Mary of Killingworth, Elizabeth McNiel and her husband David, of Clinton, and her beloved grandchildren, Leonard and Aaron Wilkinson, Arnold Moore, III, and Emma and Jonathan Blair, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her three brothers, Richard, Robert and George Parnoff and her niece, Silvia Parnoff.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 19, from 6-8 pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton, CT. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 20, at 1 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 300 Washington St., Middletown, CT. Burial will follow at Indian River Cemetery, 99 Church Rd., Clinton, CT.
