

Born in Cameron, TX on March 27, 1936 he was the son of Harleigh and Joyce Lambert McGregor. He received his BS from Rice University, his PhD from MIT, and a post-doctoral degree in biochemistry from McGill. Don was a research chemist for Bristol Myers, where he was the first research fellow graduate, and taught at Quinnipiac College prior to his retirement. In his time, he was addicted to exercise, classical
music, philosophy, the great outdoors, and puns of the sort that bugged entomologists.
He was predeceased by his younger brothers, Daniel McGregor of New Hampshire, and Dr. Douglas McGregor of Kansas. Besides his wife Christine, he is survived
by his son Edward MacGregor of New Jersey.
A graveside service will be held at Indian River Cemetery, Clinton in May. Day and time to be
announced. In place of flowers, please send donations to the Connecticut Audubon Society
