

Devoted and beloved mother, Ellen is survived by her children, Joan Fabian, Beatrice Fabian, Cynthia Fabian (Carl Brousseau), and Victor Fabian; and her grandchildren, Basil Paul Bova III, Cleome Ellen Bova, Sumner Hancock, Emily Hancock, Flora and Tyler Heffernan, Jacob Shenker, Louis Shenker, and Beatrice Shenker.
Ellen was born on June 30, 1930, in Westport, CT. The daughter of John Hamilton Fyfe and Ray B. Gibbs Fyfe, Ellen was fortunate to have family throughout the South and Midwest, as well as New England.
Ellen was a member of the Board of Directors of Madison Art Society, an Elected member of the Clinton Art Society, the Guilford Art League, the Essex Art Association and the Shoreline Art Alliance. An accomplished fine artist, Ellen has won awards in numerous Jury Shows in New England, the Midwest, and the South. Since moving to the Shoreline in 1960, Ellen has been active in the shoreline community with many varied interests and affiliations.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 14th from 7-9 pm at the Clinton Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton, CT. We will be gathering on Saturday from 9-10 am at Clinton Swan Funeral Home and the funeral procession will proceed to West Cemetery in Madison, CT for 10:30 internment. All are welcome to attend. Everyone is also invited to the Winter Club, 251 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT for the public celebration of Ellen's life from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday.
Ellen Fyfe Fabian elevated the lives of so many people with her kindness, generosity of spirit, and gentility. She will be missed by all.
