Esther C. Goodrich

Esther C. Post Goodrich, age 88 of Clinton, CT, wife of the late Blaine Goodrich passed away peacefully at Watrous Nursing Center in Madison, CT on Saturday, May 21, 2011.

Mrs. Goodrich was born in Brighton Maine on July 28, 1922, daughter of the late Winnie and Chester Post of Brighton, Maine.

Mrs. Goodrich lived in Clinton, CT for 54 years, worked at Chesebrough Ponds for many years, and served the town of Clinton as a public school bus driver.

Mrs. Goodrich is survived by her children Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Goodrich of Killingworth, CT, Terrylee L. Scott Barabas and son in law Russell Barabas of Hawthorne, FL, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Goodrich of Clinton CT, and Lisa C. Marjenhoff of FL., her sisters Meredith Bullock and family of Brunswick, ME, and Gertrude Corson and family of Madison, ME, her grandchildren Brian Goodrich of Clinton, CT, Valerie McDonnell of PA, Shane Scott of Old Saybrook, CT, Jeff Scott of FL, Jessica Brown of FL, Tonya Goodrich of Haddam, CT, Angela Critch Goodrich of NC, as well as 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.

She was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11 am at Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton, CT followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Killingworth, CT. Friends may call prior to the funeral service from 10 am to 11 am.
