
Born on August 15, 1945 in Hartford, Connecticut, he spent his childhood between Connecticut and Georgia. He graduated from the Darlington School in Rome, Georgia and from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
After several years in the banking industry in Atlanta he relocated to St. Simons’ Island, Georgia, where he founded Coastal Flooring and Interiors from which he retired in 2000.
For several years he was actively involved with Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Georgia as a member of the Board of Directors. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the King and Prince Golf Club on St. Simons’ Island, but was happiest playing on the Fenwick Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife Constance, daughter Heather, son Scott, and three grandchildren. He is also survived by nephews John C. Wilson and Morgan H. Wilson. He was predeceased by his brother John C. Wilson and his sister Jean Adelaide Wilson.
The family is grateful to the medical teams at Hartford HealthCare, Middlesex Health, and the Middlesex Health Hospice Program for their compassionate care.
