Jack Hodges Jr.

Jack was born on January 28 1949 , in Middletown, the son of Jack and Berna (Knudsen) Hodges.

Jack was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army 101st Airborne screaming eagle division, he flew and on many of occasions jumped out of Chinook helicopters.

Jack Hodges is formerly a Sargent of the Clinton Police Department, Chester Police Department, as well as Head of Security at Foxwoods Casino. Jack also found time to do Private Investigating and Towards the end of Jacks career he had settled with a great company CRRA.

In his free time he enjoyed going down to his and franks garage listening to music, laughing and telling stories while occasionally getting work done on cars. Frank Treat and my Father went on many “adventures” together always having fun, a million laughs and creating an everlasting friendship, most weekends you could find them together.

My father was very loving, kind and by far one of the most generous men I have ever known. He brought joy and happiness to the ones who loved him best. He was the protector to all and did not care if that meant having to be portrayed as the bad guy, you were always safe and loved under his watch and guidance. In his final years he shared a mutual loving and meaningful relationship with his “sweetness” Ginny , together they were able to bring each other the comfort and compassion everyone deserves in a relationship. As a father I don't think there are many words to describe him, other than beyond loving, and unselfish. He was my best friend and always will be.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Leslie Hodges of Clinton and his son in law Frank Treat, of Clinton and Jaime Cooley and her husband Greg, grandson's Bryce and Tristen, sisters Lolly Branon of Las Vegas,NV and Carol Chittenden of VA.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 8th at 10:30am at Beaver Brook Cemetery, Route 145, Clinton, A Celebration of Life will on Saturday October 8th from 11am-3pm at the Westbrook Elks, 142 Seaside Ave., Westbrook, CT.
