Joann Jones

Joann P. Jones, 68, of Old Saybrook, passed away on January 20, 2013 at Skyview Nursing Home in Wallingford CT. Joann was born July 1,1944 in Newington Ct. She graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She enjoyed being a nurse. She was the director of nurses for a few different nursing homes. Joann had a good sense of humor and enjoyed caring for others. Joann is survived by her daughter Kimberly Lamarche, son Richard C. Jones and ten grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a beach person. She enjoyed the serenity of feeding and watching the seagulls. Joann was a resident of Old Saybrook and a member of The First Church of Christ of Old Saybrook (congregational) for over forty years. Memorial services will be held May 5, 2013 at 1 pm in the Memorial Garden of The First Church of Christ Saybrook (congregational) 33 Main St Old Saybrook. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Masonic Home Health and Hospice, 33 North Plains Industrial Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492.
