

John (Jack) L. McCarthy formally of 19 West Shore Drive, Clinton. Jack was born in New Haven, April 11 1931, son of the late Annabelle Lawlor and Charles McCarthy. Jack was employed by Metro North until his retirement. Jack was an avid golf, boating enthusiast, cook, and super handyman – there was nothing he could not fix. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Reina, and three children, John (Jack) McCarthy Jr. and his wife Deborah (Debbie), Patricia McCarthy and her husband Philip Maendel, and Michael McCarthy. He is survived by his 3 grandchildren, Charles (Chuck) Carlin III, Matthew Carlin, and Kelly Carlin; sisters Doris Pfieffer and Helen Sullivan; brother Donald McCarthy. He is also survived by family, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors, too numerous to name here, and his dog Bumper. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charles and James McCarthy, and sister, Mary (Betty) Keating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary’s Church, 54 Grove Street, Clinton, on Friday October 5, at 11 am.
