

Judith 'Judy' Lee Kindt Palm, 87 of Westbrook CT passed away peacefully on March 6th after a short stay at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Originally from Lebanon PA where she was born and raised, she graduated from Annville High School in 1953. She then attended Reading Nursing school where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She moved to Connecticut to pursue her career where she spent a short time at New London General Hospital. She then settled in Westbrook and worked for a local pediatrician. She cut her nursing career short when she had her son, transitioning to a homemaker, taking care of her family and volunteering her time to the Church and School. For the Church she spent many years helping with the rummage sales for their annual fair, as well as being involved in the Choir and Bell Choir. At the School she helped with Eye and Ear exams as well as Blood drives. She enjoyed long walks along the beach and around town. She also enjoyed Knitting, Sewing and many other crafty hobbies, including making Teddy Bears and Quilts. For several years her husband 'Newt' would take her to Florida for the winter where they partied, dined and danced the nights away.
A loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother and Grandmother, she will be missed by all. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Betty Kindt Sr. She is survived by her husband Elton, of 58 years, and son Kevin, his wife Lisa and granddaughter Evelyn all of Westbrook. She is also survived by her brothers Robert Kindt Jr. of CT, Richard Kindt of PA, Sister-In-Law Audrey Ward and their families of many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the First Congregational Church of Westbrook on March 18th at 10 am. Burial services will be Private with the Family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Congregational Church of Westbrook, Westbrook Ambulance Association or Connecticut Hospice. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and other staff of Middlesex Memorial Hospital, Yale New Haven Hospital and Connecticut Hospice of Branford, the Westbrook Visiting Nurses Association, the Westbrook Ambulance Association and Swan Funeral Homes for making the arrangements.
