Lillian Bernard

She was born in Middletown Connecticut on July 21, 1936 and was she daughter of the late Bion and Maxine Meyer Shephard. She was the owner of Silver Trails Animal Inn of Westbrook from 1976 to just recently in 2019. She was a lover of all animals, an avid gardener and ran a vegetable stand out of the Silver Trails Inn. Lillian was a huge fan of the UConn Girls Huskies Basketball team and was a season ticket holder for the Connecticut Sun WNBA basketball team.

Survivors include her three children. William Bernard of Niantic, Nancy Fowler of Clinton and Barbara Bernard of Westbrook; Six grandchildren Andrew, Megan and Jordan Bernard and Unique all of CT and Aaliyah and Aaryn of TX : Brother Bion Shepard Jr. and sister Dorothy Bugg both of Clinton. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Shephard and son in law Scott Fowler
