Loretta L. Hine

Loretta Lee “Madison” Hine, 73, loving wife of Robert Hine, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Saturday September 28, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born on August 3, 1940, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Miller) Cashman.

She was a beloved Clinton resident for most of her life. Anyone that was lucky enough to know her loved her. She was well known for her wild flower gardens at her home and her devotion to her grandchildren. Although she traveled the world, Loretta was happiest in front of her fireplace with a good book. Besides her husband of 52 years, Loretta is survived by her daughter Lisa Bernier and her husband Chuck of Clinton; her four grandchildren Brittany, Zachary, Taylor and Amity all of Clinton. She is also survived by her sister Arlene Bender of Milford and Brother George Cashman of Seattle, WA.

Loretta was predeceased by her parents and her loving daughter Deborah Lynn Hine.

Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home 80 E. Main St., Clinton on Friday October 4, from 5-8pm. There will be a small gathering at Indian River Cemetery Saturday at 11am.
