Mark R. Hicks Sr.

Mark R. Hicks Sr., 59, “husband” of Kim S. Thomas passed away on Tuesday August 15, 2017. Born in Waterbury on June 27, 1959, was the son of the late Rodney Oscar Hicks and Georgeena Kuehner Hicks. Mark resided in Hamden was formerly of Clinton. He was a painter for Art Conroy Painting of Madison. Mark loved everything to do with the outdoors; he especially enjoyed camping, fishing and hiking. He also was a fan of Metalicca.

Besides his “wife” Kim, he is survived by his three children. Mark R. Hicks Jr and his wife Lisa; Wendy Hicks and Amy Johnson and her husband Creighton, all of Clinton. Two step-sons; Joseph and Jason Sabato. Eleven grandchildren; Kevin, Michael, Nicholas, Isabella, Daniel, Ashlynn, Jaylee, Shyann, Autumn, Creighton and Landon. Eight siblings; Gayla Borrelli, Bonnie Wallock and her husband Ron, Thomas Dunn, Rodney Hicks, Gregory Hicks, Trevor Hicks and his husband Michael, Darren Hicks and his wife Maria and Heidi Taylor and her husband Michael. Mark is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many other extended family members in Maine. He was predeceased by his sister Kimberly Hicks and his nephew Brian Hicks.

A graveside service will take place on Friday August 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Beaver Brook Cemetery located on Rt. 145 Old Post Rd, Clinton, CT 06413.
