Nancy A. Peatfield

Nancy A. (Doe) Peatfield, 77, of Clinton, went home to Heaven on November 30, 2014, with her family beside her, to be at final rest with her late husband Robert B Peatfield (2007). She was born August 9, 1937 in Boston, MA to the late Everett Hill and Helen Dorothy (Belyea) Doe.

Nancy’s passion in life was her family, crocheting and people. She put so much love into crocheting Afghans for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She knew how to live life to its fullest, giving all her love to her four children, shared her love and memories with her twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She truly will be missed by them all.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Bruce (Mary) Peatfield of Clinton; her three daughters Lynn (Jeffrey) Beckley or Batavia, IL, Donna Peatfield of Hartford, and Andrea Woodford of Niantic; her sister-in-law Beverly (Chandler) Doe; brother-in-laws David F. (Nellie) Peatfield of Marcellus, NY and Hal A. Peatfield of Niantic, CT; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her only brother Leslie A. Doe (2001).

Nancy was a 50 year member of First Church of Christ in Clinton, having joined in 1964 with her late husband. Her love of music and for her church was reflected in her 2011 gift, in memory of her late husband, to purchase, renovate and install a replacement console for the nearly 100-year-old Steere Organ at First Church of Christ Congregational in Clinton.

A memorial service will be held at the First Church of Christ 55 Church Rd., Clinton on Saturday February 14, 2015 at 11:00am. There will be no calling hours.
