Entered into peaceful rest on June 21, 2014, surrounded by family and friends, Patricia (Frick) Craig of Killingworth, after an exceptionally courageous and hard fought 7 year battle against ovarian cancer.
She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband George, with whom she spent the last 22 wonderfully happy years, and by her son Michael (Heidi) Groat, also of Killingworth. She leaves behind her siblings, Anna Brainard of Killingworth, Herbert (Tracey) Frick of Higganum, and Phillip Frick of Clinton. She is also survived by her beloved stepchildren, Kimberly (Tony) Borzillo, James Craig and Rebecca (Doug) Rourke, and many grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, and many, many dear friends.
Pat grew up in Higganum, then moved to Killingworth after high school. She has been a dedicated employee of Moroso Performance Products in Guilford for 18 years, where she had many dear friends amongst her co-workers.
Pat's remarkable bravery was and will continue to be an inspiration to all those who knew her. Her primary focus throughout her life was a deep devotion to family and friends. The way she embraced life, her keen sense of humor and quick wit, and her gentle, joyful disposition were loved by so many and will be profoundly missed. Although she will no longer be with us in the physical sense, the impact she made on our hearts will stay with us forever.
Friends may call at Swan's Funeral Home in Clinton from 4-8 PM on June 25. A service celebrating her life will be held on June 26 at 11 AM at the Killingworth Congregational Church. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery on Green Hill Rd in Killingworth. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in Pat's memory.
