

Perry James Funk, of Killingworth and Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on December 25, 2021. He was the widower of Beatrice Funk. He and his beloved wife were married for 40 years. She passed in 2008.
He was born on May 3, 1930, in New Haven, the son of Perry B. Funk and Julia (DeBridget) Funk.
Perry graduated high school in West Haven, and attended the Citadel. He served in the Navy reserves during the Korean Conflict. He was the president of the family business, Funk Boiler Works for 45 years. He was an accomplished pilot and flying club member. He was a member of the Masons Annawon Lodge #115 for over 50 years. Perry loved old cars, scuba diving, playing the piano and accordion, Koi fish, and bird watching.
Perry is survived by his son Wayne; stepchildren Karen (Leman) Bradshaw, Edward (Angela) Goldsmith, Bruce (Patricia) Goldsmith, and Brian (Edith) Goldsmith; grandchildren Leman Bradshaw, Jr., Steven Bradshaw, Sarah Goldsmith, Katelynn Goldsmith, and Eric Goldsmith; great grandchildren Ashley, Jessica, and Justin Bradshaw. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Dawn Bradshaw.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 29th from 5-7pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Killingworth. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
