He was the son of William and Josephine Weber
He resided in River Edge, NJ, New Milford, NJ, River Vale, NJ and Hackensack. He has lived in Clinton CT for the past 27 years
He attended NYU School of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing
Mr Weber was employed as an advertising copy writer for several companies including Huffman Boyle, JC Penney’s, Macy’s and was also self employed retiring in 2009.He was a veteran of the Korean War having served as a sergeant in the Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953
He was a parishioner of First Church of Christ Congregational. In his late 60’s he did some theater for the first time in his life, and hooked up with a local theater company - “The Nutmeg Players” he was in the productions “You Can’t Take it with You” and “I Remember Momma”.
We will miss his humorous stories for he was a wonderful story teller. While he was ill many people we encountered remarked how they knew and liked our dad. When we told him about this and that he was “like the mayor” it made him smile. We will miss hearing his amazing piano playing where one could hum a tune and he could play it by ear. He was an avid gardener who has passed this love onto his 4 children.The beach was his favorite place to be by the chilly sparkling water of the Long Island Sound where he would always remark that it was “refreshing”!
He is survived by daughter Justine Hageman, daughter Patricia Carson and son in law William Carson, daughter Carol Lietke and son in law Michael Lietke
Son Christopher Weber.Grandchildren: George Beutel, Brian Carson, Christopher Erik Weber, Scott Carson, Matt Carson, Noika Celia Weber, and Andrew Lietke.He is predeceased by his wife Billie F Weber.
Visitation and funeral services for family and friends will be held at First Church of Christ Congregational Clinton, CT on August 6th 2014 with visitation at 10:00AM and funeral services immediately following at 11:00AM . Burial to follow in Indian River Cemetery with Military Honors
