Lorine Downing Shepherd

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from the Clinton Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Visitation will be between the hours of 5 and 7 PM Monday and after 10:00 am Tuesday. Interment will follow the service in the Raymond Cemetery.

She was born in Sansiba, Texas to Elijah and Vessie Gray December 31, 1916. She moved to Raymond, MS after her marriage to Bill Downing. Lorine has resided in Jackson for 40 years.

Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly Chamblee and Vicki Bernamonti; grandsons Brian (Tammy) and Eric (Christy) Chamblee; also

Her granddaughter Lacey Stroud Childress (William) and great-grandsons Kyle and Devin Carter, William Childress, Jr. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
