Dear Betty

I am most grateful as a result of experiencing your kind and gentle demeanor. Those moments helped me become a better person throughout my lifetime. As your favorite paper boy, it is something  I've pursued  since those early days as pals with your sons, Jimmy and Gary. I am certain anyone who experienced knowing you and the Corte Family through these many years surely has the same priceless memories. All of you remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Betty

I've never forgotten you. Thinking of you always since you were one of my best and favorite paper route customers. Any of us who called on Jimmy or Gary felt like we were one of the Corte family. It was a great time with all of you. Not very many houses had a pool table so that really helped out a lot. Hope we didn't play the music too loud. Can't forget those times in hometown East Detroit. Bless you Forever as you Rest in Peace. Happy Easter 2025.

Family Corte,

When another touches you in special ways it is never forgotten. But when they touch you at a very young and formative age the impression is deep and forever. This is how Mrs. Betty Corte and her family, Husband Lou, Sons Jimmy & Gary, touched many of us who frequented the Corte home in East Detroit once upon a great time in American History. We were always welcomed as kids and treated like family members. But for this paperboy it was even more a memorable time. Betty is always remembered by me as well as many others. She was one in a million and will never be forgotten. Again, thank you so much Betty !

I enjoyed working with Betty for about 5 years helping  in her home. Then this past year I visited her almost every week. We got to know each other even better. She was a great friend and reminded me a lot of my late grandmother. One of my favorite memories is when she was eating spinach pie and gave me pieces of the crust on top just so I would eat a little something with her. I will miss her very much.  

We will always remember Betty as a very gracious and lovely person who really cared about family, and she will be missed.

Dear Family, 
Sadness at the loss of Mrs Corte is enormous beyond words. She was an inspiration to me. Growing up in East Detroit I (and many others) spent a great deal of time at their home with Jimmy and Gary. Who else had a pool table in their basement? Betty made everyone of us 'kids' feel like we were a Corte Family member. The memory of all those moments is something I (we) will hold forever. Betty had the rare and authentic quality of bringing out the best in a person. And for this paperboy YOU were the BEST.  You cannot be replaced lovely lady. We will miss you dearly Mrs Corte. 

Dear Gary, Nancy and family,

My heartfelt sympathy is extended to you.  Mrs. Corte lived an exemplary life with her greatest joy being her loving family.

May she rest in peace in the grace of our Lord.

She has always been one of the sweetest moms I ever knew...  loved her family, lover of life and an exceptional senior citizen!!!!  I’m sure she will be missed!!!
