

Blia Vang “Mrs. Commandant Neng Sho Xiong”, just days shy of 81, passed away peacefully at the Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, Michigan on “Good Friday” April 3, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born on April 18,1945 in the village of Kau-kai, City of Kham Keut, Kham Muan Province, Laos, Blia Vang was a woman of grace, kindness, strength, and boundless compassion. She dedicated her whole life to her family, loving her husband with loyalty, raising many children and grandchildren with unwavering love, kindness, patience, and wisdom. Her home was always filled with warm hospitality and generosity. She was the matriarch and the glue that singlehandedly held the entire Xiong family together. Whether through kind words, gentle guidance, or acts of generosity, she touched countless lives. In the later life living in America, she found joy traveling with her loving husband to assist the Hmong communities across the United States in various situation, happy or sad. She may be gone but her spirit will live on in the many lives she inspired.
She is survived by her husband, Commandant Neng Sho Xiong, sister-wife Blia Lee, and their beloved children, Pa “Mrs. Page Lee”, Ying “Mrs. Zong Cha Lee,” Chong “Mrs. Ka Houa Yang,” Blia “Mrs. Neng Zong Vue,” Charlie “Dr. Tsavlis” Xiong, Mai Joua Xiong, Mai Nhia “Mrs. Jouaxue Vang,” Pakou “Mrs. Nhia Kou Vang”, Va Kai “VK”, Kia “Mrs. Nao Xue Yang,” Mai Xong “Mrs. Justyn Hansen,” Va Yi Leng “Leng” Xiong, Nuseine, Julie “Mrs. Thomas Tran,” many adopted children and grandchildren.
A celebration of Blia Vang’s life will be held beginning Friday, May 15, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Starting Saturday, May 16 at 8:00 a.m., services will continue 24 hours a day through the burial on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Kaul Funeral Home, 33201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp, Michigan 48035.
The gentle soul, unparalleled kindness, and boundless generosity of Blia Vang will deeply be missed but forever remembered.
