Paquette, Charles, age 90, died peacefully at home on December 3. Born in Detroit August 28, 1924. Survived by his wife Bernadette (nee Marentette) of 64 years, and his children: Elizabeth (Gerry) Labut, Donna (Ben) Kiehl, Jerry (Brenda), Jean (Pete) Mikelonis, and Charles (Tammy). Grandfather of John, Philip, Annie and Jackie Labut, Katie, Paula, Ben, and Chris Kiehl, Megan Paquette, and Daniel Mikelonis, four Great-Grandchildren and his sister Dorothy (Al) Stahl. Preceded in death by his brother James. Charles worked for the Grosse Pointe Post Office for 40 yrs. He was a WWII POW, earning a Purple Heart and Bronze star. Charles was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Visitation Friday from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes, Clinton Twp. In-state Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thecla Catholic Church, Clinton Township, until time of Mass at 10 a.m. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul of St. Thecla or Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit.
