Charlotte Adair Greer, age 84, of Lewiston, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 24, 2025. She was surrounded by her daughters and had family visits during her final days. She was born September 15, 1940 in Martin, TN to the late Athan and Florence (Wilson-Bowers) Robertson.
She had unending love for her family, friends and community. She was kind and generous to all. She had a way of making everyone in her life feel uniquely special, like she was their biggest cheerleader.
Charlotte was born in Martin, TN grew up in Roseville, MI, lived in many places before she and Bill built their forever home in Lewiston, MI., where she resided for 30+ years. It was a beautiful home in the woods overlooking Tee Lake where she was an avid bird watcher.
She was bright, quick witted and sharp as a tack. She was an avid reader and life-long learner. She loved watching game shows- where she was bound to get the answers right and with her wealth of knowledge, there wasn’t a subject on earth she couldn’t weigh in on.
Charlotte was strong, independent and beautiful. She dressed impeccably and was known for her sense of style. She enjoyed sewing, making clothes for herself and her family. She was once a seamstress in the Detroit production of Phantom of the Opera. She was everyone’s go to if you needed something tailored or made for your home décor.
Charlotte belonged to the Lewiston Community Church and was devoted to her daily bible studies. She was tirelessly involved in her beloved community through charity, outreach, and membership to many organizations.
She was a member of the Lions Lioness Club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2495, the Lewiston Historical Society, Friends of the Library, American Legion Post 198, the 50+ Club of Lewiston, Community Sharing, the Lewiston Fun Ones, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She left an amazing impact on her community and her presence will be greatly missed, not only by her family and friends but by all who knew her.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Bobbi (the late Paul) Foster-Kelly, Tracy (Don) Leonatti; grandsons, Erick Foster and Jesse Kelly; great-grandchildren, Aden Foster, Ruth Foster, Faith Foster and Alexis Ciappara; her brother, Bruce (the late Corinne) Robertson; her sisters-in-law, Carol Robertson and Fran Robertson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William "Bill" Greer; her daughter, Vickie Foster; her brothers, Charles Robertson and Roger Robertson.
A visitation for Charlotte will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home. A visitation will occur Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035.
