

Clifford was proud to serve in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He retired from the Mt. Clemens Fire Dept. as a Captain after 31 years of service. He also worked security at Mt. Clemens General Hospital for 10 years. Clifford was a multi-talented entertainer, teacher, and supporter of the arts. He was a roller skating instructor and performed with The Sophisticates, he sang, acted, and danced with many community theaters including, McMoran Theater, Macomb Center of Performing Arts Senior Show, St. Clair Civic Theater, and String of Pearls.
He was the beloved husband of Joan; dear father of Terrie Babbitt-Welsing, Heidi (Gordon) Cameron, Jeffrey Babbitt, and the late David (the late Diane) Babbitt; proud grandfather of Tiffany, Heather, Amy, Stephanie, Kendra, Zachary, Patrick, Jordan, Courtney, and Christian; great-grandfather of 6; and brother of the late Raymond, John, Robert and Daniel. Also left to cherish his memory is his therapy dog Abigail.
Visitation Wednesday, May 14, 5-9pm, and Thursday, May 15, 2-9pm with a Rosary service at 7pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Twp. A funeral service will be Friday, May 16, instate 9:30am, Mass 10am at San Francesco Church, 22870 Nunneley, Clinton Twp.
