Cindy was the beloved wife of 35 years to Douglas Lindensmith; Loving mom of Rachel Lajb (Mike), Eddie Lajb (Jeannine), Douglas Lindensmith (Alison) and David Lindensmith; Treasured grandma of Niko, Alexandria, Erynn, Carter, Landon, Makenzie and Weston; Dear sister of Joseph Thompson (Debbie).
A dedicated homemaker, Cindy built a life of love and care. Her home was a haven filled with the comforting aroma of her delicious cooking. She was also a true artist in her own right—her love for crafts was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her generous spirit. With nimble hands and a patient heart, she could sew almost anything, creating beautiful, lasting pieces for family and friends. Her talents were many, but perhaps none more enduring than the compassion she showed while driving a school bus for special needs children. To them, Cindy offered not only safe passage but also warmth, dignity, and joy. She had a soft spot for her beloved English Springer Spaniels, who were constant companions and dearly loved members of her family. In quieter moments, she enjoyed a good glass of red wine and the simple pleasures of home. She brought warmth and care to the lives she touched, and her memory will be treasured always.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 3-7 PM, with a memorial service at 7 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
