Darlene Mae Pardee, 67 of Port Saint Lucie, Florida (formerly of Roseville) passed away April 15, 2013 in Florida after a long illness. Mrs. Pardee was born on July 2, 1945 in Watertown, Wisconsin to Lester and Mildred (Brandt) Webber. Darlene was raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in Gladstone and Escanaba. She relocated with her husband Lawrence and children to Roseville in the early 1960’s. There, she was a happy homemaker and mother. Her proudest achievement was raising her kids. Darlene was known as “Ma” to many other “unofficially adopted” kids. She loved crocheting, making afghans, and crafts. While her children were young she exhibited a very “green thumb” planting a garden each year. Mrs. Pardee was a great cook, especially in the in the area of baking and also loved to shop. “Family was everything,” her children said, “and she loved when she became a grandmother.” She moved to Florida in 2007 escaping a lifetime of Michigan winters!!! She was content in Florida notwithstanding her Michigan children begging her to return North. Darlene said she was comfortable with her oldest daughter and youngest grandchildren. All of the family will miss Darlene’s Christmas cookies, nearly as much as missing her presence. Her survivors include her children: Debra (Rodney) Kugler, Beverly (Michael) Rziemkowski, Dale (Michelle) Pardee, Barbara (Andrew) Penning and Amanda (Leonard) Sherman. grandchildren: Tori Kugler, Tara Kugler, Christopher ( Alicia) Edmiston, David Edmiston, Nicole Weinand, Michael Rziemkowski, Amanda Saxton, Lawrence Pardee, Paige Pardee and Alyssa Pardee; great-grandchildren Madison Edmiston, Rae Edmiston and Ayla Schultz; brother, Lewellen (Susan) Charboneau; sister, Donna (Thomas) Soper.
